Big Time Rush is back with another big time tour, their third road trip in two years.
The American boy band went big with their Nickelodeon TV series by the same name, which aired in 2009. The group?s debut album BTR, released in October of 2010 became a huge hit and sold over five million copies worldwide.
Their second album, Boyfriend, was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Their next album called Elevate achieved similar success, selling over 70,000 copies in its first week.
The group promoted the album with two tours in 2012: Better With U and Big Time Summer, which included One Direction as a supporting act. As of 2013, Elevate has sold more than four million copies worldwide.
Now the boy band is on the road again with their Summer Break 2013 tour, featuring actress and singer Victoria Justice. Opening at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on June 21, the trek includes 37 dates across the country.

The brainchild of Nickelodeon, the band?s big self-titled TV show promotes their music and vice versa. The show itself, which is about the Hollywood misadventures of four Minnesota hockey players after they form a boy band, officially premiered in January of 2010 and earned 6.8 million viewers, making it Nickelodeon's highest-rated live-action series debut ever.
Then it was announced that the show?s four stars would form an actual singing group and perform at concerts. As a result, the boys ? who include Kendall Schmidt (the leader), James Maslow (the heartthrob), Carlos Pena Jr. (the funny/tough guy), and Logan Henderson (the brains) ? are now making a name for themselves through television ratings, record sales, and huge international concert dates.
The TV show?s theme song became the band's first single, followed by "Halfway There?, which peaked at #93 on Billboard's Hot 100, making it their first mainstream success. The band then released their debut album BTR in 2010, with its popularity prompting them to begin performing concert dates.
This year?s tour takes the boys in the band coast to coast, with stops in over three dozen cities in 24 states. Special guest Victoria Justice debuted as an actress at the age of 10 and has since appeared in numerous films and television series. She is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and is expected to release her first album this year.
